Granlund to sign significant co-operation agreement with China’s leading real estate developer Vanke
Granlund has been active in the Chinese market helping companies to save costs and energy with its Granlund Manager CMMS software. Granlund is now enlarging its services into developing energy efficient ice rinks.
China puts large efforts into the development of winter sport facilities for the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022 - for example hundreds of new ice rinks need to be built. To achieve goals made, China’s leading real estate developer Vanke decided to work together with Finnish building technology designer Granlund. Agreement strives towards environmentally friendly and energy efficient ice rinks. Finnish refrigeration and heat transfer technology house Huurre is the third party in the memorandum of understanding companies signed on 29th of June.
Beijing Winter Olympics governmental theme is "Green Olympics” and special technology and leading expertise are needed to minimize the energy consumption of these ice rinks.
Co-operation with Vanke will open Granlund new important opportunities to contribute to the environmentally solid design of the energy-intense ice rink building”, says Pekka Metsi, CEO of Granlund Oy.
Granlund has already a strong position in the Chinese market with its CMMS software that helps to save costs and energy in buildings. In China Granlund Manager customers include companies like ABB China and Radisson BLU Beijing.
“Due to Vanke’s deep-rooted commitment to environmentally sound operations, we welcome Huurre’s expertise in the green CO2 refrigeration and automation technology, and Granlund’s experience in environmentally solid building technology design”, says Mr Shawn Liu, SVP of China Vanke Co, Ltd.
